Pabasa ng Pasyon

Ang Pasyon (The Passion) is a narrative of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This prayer is based on the Roman Catholic bible and is presented through songs with interwoven, dramatic themes. Pasyon is usually accompanied by musical instruments and is usually done in small, barangay chapels. It is a days-long prayer that spans from Holy Wednesdays through Good Friday of the Holy Week. Devout Christians partake in this gathering and some even donate food and drinks (usually salabat, ginger tea) to tend to the participants, especially their voices.
